The hotel features a beautiful building and spacious rooms with a separate bedroom. the staff is extremely courteous, and the location is fantastic, just a short walk to several excellent restaurants. Guests can easily access the nearby mountain and one of the region's top safari parks, as well as the highly-rated Grill 21 restaurant and bar in Blantyre.

Our a double room included central heating, multi-channel TV, and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Walk-in showers in the separate bathroom was a plus. Location: the hotel was right by centre of Blantyre as well as the restaurant for breakfast and lunch/dinner.

I had a wonderful stay at Protea Hotel. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, providing the perfect place to relax after a long day. The hotel's location was also great, with amenities within walking distance. The breakfast and meal variety were impressive, ensuring a delicious start to the day. Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as slow internet and some issues with the room, these were outweighed by the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Protea Hotel for anyone visiting Blantyre. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely choose this hotel again.

the location was perfect, right in the heart of the city. It was close to the financial area, making it convenient for our business meetings. Secondly, the service provided was top-notch. The room service, car hire, and 24-hour room service were all very efficient and prompt. We also appreciated the attentive housekeeping and laundry services. Additionally, the airport shuttle was convenient and made our arrival and departure hassle-free. Lastly, the room amenities were impressive, with everything from ironing facilities to a flat-screen TV. It truly enhanced our comfort during our stay.

The service in the grill restaurant was not up to the desired level.

the staff were kind and helpful, especially the front desk gentleman, who went above and beyond to address my room issue. Even though the heater element in Room 121 wasn't working, he offered to move me or provide extra blankets. His professionalism made my stay enjoyable and he is truly an asset to the hotel. the location of the hotel is also perfect, right in the middle of the city. I had a pleasant stay and appreciated the good gym facility and complimentary internet. Cons: Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like 😊.

During my Christmas break stay at the hotel, I appreciated the clean and well-maintained facilities, as well as the friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast and dinner were enjoyable, and the gym was a significant advantage. the hotel's convenient location was perfect for me to access other areas quickly.

My experience was somewhat marred by the mediocre food quality, and the pool area was not attractive at all. the shower door was poorly designed and would often drip into the bathroom when opened.
